Area Coverage & Plant Capacity
Hydroponic racks do not cover area like carpets or nets. Their coverage is measured by:
1. Floor Footprint
This is the space the rack occupies on the ground.
Formula:
Rack Length x Rack Width = Floor Area Required
2. Planting Capacity
This depends on the number of holes or planting cups on the rack.
Formula:
Number of channels x number of holes per channel = Total plant capacity
Example:
If a rack has 4 channels and each channel has 10 planting holes, then:
4 x 10 = 40 plants
So, the customer should confirm the exact rack design to know the final plant capacity.
The White Hydroponic Rack is a modern soilless farming system designed for growing vegetables, herbs and leafy crops using nutrient-rich water instead of soil. It is ideal for greenhouses, kitchen gardens, balconies, urban farming, nurseries, schools, demo farms and commercial farming projects.
The rack is commonly used for crops such as lettuce, spinach, sukuma, coriander, basil, mint, strawberries, herbs and other leafy vegetables. Its white colour gives a clean professional appearance and also helps reflect heat, making it suitable for controlled farming environments.

Main Uses of Hydroponic Rack
1. Growing Vegetables Without Soil
The rack allows crops to grow using nutrient water, making it ideal where good soil is limited.
2. Greenhouse Farming
Perfect for controlled farming setups where water, nutrients and plant growth can be managed easily.
3. Urban & Balcony Farming
Good for small spaces because the rack supports vertical or tiered growing.
4. Commercial Leafy Vegetable Production
Suitable for farmers growing lettuce, spinach, herbs and other fast-growing crops.
5. Training & Demonstration Farming
Can be used in schools, agricultural training centres, demo farms and research projects.
Benefits of White Hydroponic Rack

How to Use the Hydroponic Rack
Step 1: Choose a Suitable Location
Place the rack in a greenhouse, balcony, rooftop or open farming area with enough light and ventilation.
Step 2: Set Up the Rack
Assemble the support frame and arrange the growing channels properly. Ensure the rack is firm and level.
Step 3: Connect the Water System
Connect the pipes, reservoir tank and pump system according to the rack design.
Step 4: Add Water & Nutrients
Fill the reservoir with clean water and mix the recommended hydroponic nutrients.
Step 5: Insert Seedlings
Place seedlings into net cups or planting holes. The roots should be able to reach the nutrient water flow.
Step 6: Switch On the Pump
Allow nutrient water to circulate through the channels so the roots receive water, oxygen and nutrients.
Step 7: Monitor Growth
Check water level, nutrient strength, pH and plant health regularly.
Step 8: Harvest
Harvest crops once they are mature. Leafy vegetables and herbs usually grow faster in a well-managed hydroponic system.
Installation Process
Step 1: Prepare the Ground
Choose a flat and stable surface. Avoid uneven ground because it can affect water flow.
Step 2: Assemble the Frame
Join the rack frame and make sure all supports are firm.
Step 3: Fix the Grow Channels
Place the white hydroponic channels on the rack structure. Ensure they have a slight slope for smooth water movement.
Step 4: Install Pipes & Fittings
Connect the inlet and outlet pipes properly to allow nutrient water circulation.
Step 5: Position the Reservoir
Place the water tank/reservoir below or near the rack depending on the system layout.
Step 6: Connect the Pump
Fix the pump inside or near the reservoir and connect it to the water inlet line.
Step 7: Test Water Flow
Run the system with clean water first to check for leaks, blockages or poor flow.
Step 8: Add Nutrients & Seedlings
Once the system is working well, add hydroponic nutrients and place the seedlings into the planting holes.
Installation Tips
- Keep the rack on a level surface.
- Use clean water to avoid clogging the pipes.
- Check for leaks before adding seedlings.
- Maintain proper spacing between plants.
- Avoid placing the system where it can overheat.
- Clean the reservoir and channels regularly.
- Monitor pH and nutrient levels for better crop growth.
- Use a reliable water pump for continuous circulation.
