HOW TO USE — STEP-BY-STEP
- Check the disc. Inspect for cracks, missing segments or a bent core before every use. Never fit a damaged disc.
- Match the speed. Confirm your angle grinder's max RPM does not exceed 6,600 RPM for a 230mm disc.
- Mount correctly. Switch off and unplug the grinder. Fit the disc so the arrow on the disc matches the rotation direction of the grinder, then tighten the flange nut securely.
- Fit the guard. Always keep the grinder's blade guard in place, positioned between the disc and your body.
- Let it reach full speed. Start the grinder and allow the disc to spin up before touching the material.
- Cut straight and light. Guide the disc in a straight line using its own weight — do not force or push hard. Let the diamonds do the work.
- Cool the disc on long cuts. For dry cutting, make several shorter passes and lift the disc out of the cut every 10–15 seconds to let it cool and clear dust.
- Cut in stages for deep cuts. For material thicker than ~30mm, cut in progressive passes rather than one deep plunge.
- Finish safely. Release the trigger, let the disc stop completely, then set the grinder down.
Safety & Care
- Always wear safety goggles, dust mask/respirator, ear protection and cut-resistant gloves.
- Dry cutting produces silica dust — work in a ventilated area or use dust extraction; wear an appropriate respirator.
- Keep bystanders clear and secure the workpiece with a clamp.
- Never side-grind with a cutting disc; use it for straight cuts only.
- Store flat in a dry place, away from moisture and impact.
- If the disc stops cutting freely ("glazes"), briefly cut into an abrasive material (e.g. a soft brick or sandstone) to re-expose the diamonds.
