5. HOW TO USE — STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

Before you start

1. Confirm your angle grinder is rated for a 115mm disc and that its no-load speed does not exceed 13,200 RPM.
2. Inspect the disc for cracks, chips or missing segments. Never use a damaged disc.
3. Fit the correct bore: use the disc directly on a 7/8" (22.23mm) spindle, or insert the 5/8" reducer ring for smaller spindles.

Mounting the disc 4. Unplug or remove the battery from the grinder before changing discs. 5. Place the disc on the spindle so the arrow on the disc points in the same direction the grinder rotates. 6. Tighten the flange/locking nut firmly with the grinder spanner. Make sure the disc sits flat and true.

Cutting technique 7. Let the grinder reach full speed before the disc touches the material. 8. Hold the grinder firmly with both hands and guide the disc — let the disc do the work; do not force or push it. Excess pressure overheats the disc and shortens its life. 9. Cut in a straight line. For deep cuts, make several shallow passes rather than one deep plunge. 10. For dry cutting, pause every 30–60 seconds and let the disc spin freely in open air for a few seconds to cool. This clears dust and extends blade life. 11. Never twist, bend or use the side of the disc to grind — it is a cutting disc, not a grinding disc.

After use 12. Switch off and let the disc come to a complete stop before setting the tool down. 13. Store the disc flat and dry, away from moisture and impact.
