How to Use / Installation Guide
1. Measure the Area
Measure the ceiling, soffit, wall or partition area where the board will be installed.
Formula:
Total area ÷ 2.88m² = number of boards required
Add 5–10% extra for cutting, wastage, corners, edges and openings.
2. Prepare the Surface or Frame
For ceiling and soffit works, prepare a strong timber or metal framework.
For walling, ensure the surface is clean, dry, level and firm before fixing.
3. Mark and Cut the Board
Mark the required measurements clearly. Cut using suitable tools and handle carefully to avoid damaging the edges.
4. Fix the Board
Fix the board using suitable screws or recommended fixing method depending on the surface. Ensure the board is properly supported and aligned.
5. Finish the Joints
Use suitable joint filler, jointing tape, trims or moulding strips depending on the required finish. Keep joints neat for a professional appearance.
6. Sand Rough Edges
Lightly sand cut edges and joint areas before painting.
7. Apply Primer
Apply a suitable primer before painting. Primer helps improve paint adhesion and gives a smoother final finish.
8. Paint or Coat
Apply the preferred paint or protective coating. For exterior covered areas such as soffits and eaves, use a suitable exterior-grade paint.
9. Final Inspection
Check that all boards are firmly fixed, joints are neat, edges are clean and the surface is ready for use.
Important Installation Tips
Do not install on weak, wet or unstable framing.
Use proper screw spacing to avoid board movement or sagging.
Apply primer before painting for a cleaner finish.
For soffits or covered exterior areas, use suitable exterior paint or protective coating.
Avoid continuous direct water exposure unless properly sealed and protected.
Use an experienced ceiling, walling or soffit fundi for best results.
Maintenance
Wipe dust using a soft dry cloth.
Repaint when necessary to maintain a fresh appearance.
Inspect joints, screws and edges periodically.
Repair damaged sections early to maintain a neat finish.
Avoid prolonged exposure to water or continuous moisture.
