Surface Preparation & Application Specifications

Surface Preparation:

Ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, oil, or loose materials before painting.

New Cement or Plaster Surfaces:

• If dry and absorbent, thin the first coat with up to 10% clean water.

• Follow with one or two coats of unthinned paint.

• If only one coat is recommended, avoid thinning.

Bricks & Asbestos Surfaces:

• Seal with one coat of DuraCoat Acrylic Sealer.

• Apply two coats of  Duracoat Vinyl Matt Emulsion.

Previously Painted Surfaces:

• If in good condition, clean and rub down surface.
