How to Use — Step-by-Step Guide

Before you start — what you need: An air compressor (2 HP / 50L or larger recommended), an air hose (3/8" I.D.), PTFE thread tape, and air tool oil.

Setup

1. Connect the coupler — Wrap PTFE tape on the 1/4" NPT air inlet thread and screw in the quick-connect nipple supplied. Hand-tighten, then snug with a spanner.
2. Oil the tool — Put 2–3 drops of air tool oil into the air inlet before each use. This lubricates the internal motor and hammer and greatly extends tool life. (Do this daily when in regular use.)
3. Set your compressor — Start the compressor and set the regulator to 90 psi (6.3 bar). Let the tank fill.
4. Attach the hose — Connect the air hose from the compressor to the wrench's quick-connect coupler until it clicks home.

Operation

        5. Fit the correct socket — Push the right impact socket (9–27 mm) firmly onto the 1/2" square drive until it locks. Use the extension bar for recessed or hard-to-reach nuts.

6. Set direction — Use the forward/reverse switch: forward to tighten, reverse to loosen. (On most models, pushing the button/lever to one side selects reverse.)

7. Set power — Adjust the power regulator dial — start low and increase as needed to avoid over-tightening.

8. Position squarely — Place the socket fully and straight onto the fastener so it sits flush; a crooked fit can round off the nut.

9. Trigger in bursts — Squeeze the trigger in short bursts rather than holding continuously. The hammer action does the work; let it "hammer" the bolt loose or tight.

10. Check tightness — For wheel nuts and critical bolts, always finish to the correct torque with a torque wrench — an impact wrench can over-tighten and stretch or snap studs.

After use

11. Disconnect — Release the trigger, disconnect the air hose, and drain the compressor tank.

12. Store — Wipe the tool down and return it and the sockets to the carry case. Add a drop of oil into the inlet before storing to prevent internal rust.

• Always wear safety glasses and ear protection — air impact wrenches are loud.
• Use only impact-rated (black) sockets — never chrome hand sockets, which can shatter.
• Keep hands, hair, and loose clothing away from the rotating drive.
• Never exceed 90 psi working pressure.
• Disconnect the air supply before changing sockets.
